अर्वाच्

अर्वाच्  mfn. mfn.वा॑ङ्, वा॑ची, वा॑क्, Ved. (fr. अञ्च् with अर्व, near or ‘hither’) coming hitherward, coming to meet any one, turned towards, [RV.] &c., being on this side (of a river), [L.] , being below or turned downwards, [AV.] ; [ŚBr.] ; [ChUp.]
अर्वाञ्चाक्   (acc.) with √ नुद्, to push down, [RV. viii, 14, 8]

अर्वाच्     

अर्वाच् [arvāc] a.  a. [अवरे काले देशे वा अञ्चति पृषो˚ अर्वादेशः]
Coming hitherward (opp. पराञ्च).
Turned towards, coming to meet anyone.
Being on this side (as the bank of a river); (opp. पर).
Being below or behind (in time or place).
Following, subsequent.

-बिल a.  a. Ved. having the hole or mouth hitherward; अर्वाग्बिलश्चमस ऊध्वर्बुध्नः [Bṛi. Up.2.2.3.]
-वसु a.  a. offering riches. [Vāj.15.19.]

-सामन्  n. n. Ved. epithet of three days during which the Soma sacrifice is performed.
-स्रोतस्  m. m. N. of a creation of beings in which the current of nutriment tends downwards, or where the men are addicted to sensual enjoyments.
