to expect, wait for or till, [Lāṭy.]; [MBh. xiv, 1279, &c.];

to endeavour to reach a place, turn to ( acc.), [Mn. iii, 258];

(in Gr.) to require some word or words to be supplied for the completion of the sense, [Pāṇ.] Sch.
