प्रसद्

प्र-√ सद्   P.-सीदति (ep. also Ā.°ते), to fall into the power of (acc.), [MaitrS.] ; [AitBr.] ;
to settle down, grow clear and bright, become placid or tranquil (as the sea or sky, met. applied to the mind), [MBh.] ; [Kāv.] &c.;
to become clear or distinct, [KaṭhUp.] ; [Kām.] ;
to become satisfied or pleased or glad, be gracious or kind (with gen. ‘to favour’; with inf. ‘to deign to’; Impv. often ‘be so gracious, please’), [Mn.] ; [MBh.] &c.;
to be successful (as an action), [Ragh.] :
Caus.-सादयति (mc. also °ते; Pass.-साद्यते),
to make clear, purify, [Kāvyâd.] ; [Kathās.] ;
to make serene, gladden (the heart), [Bhartṛ.] ;
to render calm, soothe, appease, propitiate, ask a person (acc.)
to or for (inf.dat.loc., अर्थे with gen., or अर्थम्ifc.), [Mn.] ; [MBh. &c.]

प्रसद्     

प्रसद् [prasad]   1 [P.]
To be pleased, be gracious or propitious (oft. with inf.); तमालपत्रास्तरणासु रन्तुं प्रसीद शश्वन्मलयस्थलीषु [R.6.64.]
To be appeased or soothed, be satisfied; निमित्तमुद्दिश्य हि यः प्रकुप्यति ध्रुवं स तस्यापगमे प्रसीदति [Pt.1.] 283.
To be pure or clear, clear up, brighten up (lit. and fig.); दिशः प्रसेदुर्मरुतो ववुः सुखाः [R.3.14;] [Ki. 16.35;] प्रससादोदयादम्भः कुम्भयोनेर्महौजसः 4.21.
To bear fruit, succeed, be successful; क्रिया हि वस्तूपहिता प्रसीदति [R.3.29.] -Caus.
To propitiate, secure the favour of, pray, beseech; तस्मात् प्रणम्य प्रणिधाय कायं प्रसादये त्वामहमीश- मीड्यम् [Bg.11.44;] [R.1.88;] [Y.3.283.]
To beg pardon, pray for grace.
To purify, make clear or pure; चेतः प्रसादयति [Bh.2.23.]
