फसफशीत

A dictionary, Marathi and English | Marathi  English
Dry and crumbling; dry as opp. to unctuous or cohesive;--as certain earths, flour, snuff &c. 2 Very wet and sloppy--batter, thin dough, earth, mud. Note. The learner must not be astonished at these differing uses of imitative formations. The marvel, however, is that of the many thousands current in the Maráṭhí language, the popular apprehension and use should be to such degree definite and uniform.
