लव्हा

   lavhā or lavā m Rock quail, Colurnix Argoondal. Sykes.
   A rush-like grass. It grows to the height of four feet, and is commonly found on the mud banks of मोढे and of salt creeks. Used for thatching, and mats &c. are made of it. Set down by some botanists as Cyperus rotundus.
