अध्यूढ [adhyūḍha] a.  a. [अधि उपरि ऊढः]
Raised, exalted, elevated, hanging over. एतस्यामृच्यध्यूढ साम तस्मादृच्यध्यूढ साम गीयते [Ch. Up.1.6.1.]
Abundant, increased, copious.
Rich, affluent.
ढः Śiva.
The son of a woman pregnant before marriage; अध्यूढश्च तथाऽपरः [Mb.13.49.4.] -ढा A wife whose husband has married another wife and thus superseded her (अधिविन्ना q. v.). अध्यूढायाश्च यद् दुःखं साक्षिभिर्विहितस्य च [Mb.2.68.83.]

 m.  (-ढः) A name of SIVA.
 f.  (-ढा) A superseded wife, one whose husband has married others.
