-परार्थता   'an unaccepted second sense', one of the faults of a word (शब्ददोष); अमतः प्रकृतविरुद्धः परार्थो यत्र; e. g. in राममन्मथशरेण ताडिता &c. (R.11.2) the second sense suggestive of शृङ्गाररस is opposed to the proper rasa of the passage which is either वीर or बीभत्स; [K. P.7.]
