क्षाम     

क्षाम [kṣāma] a.  a. [क्षै-कर्तरि क्त क्षायो मः [P.VIII.2.53] ]
Scorched, signed.
Diminished, thin, wasted; emaciated, lean; क्षामक्षामकपोलमाननम् [Ś.3.9;] मध्ये क्षामा [Me.84;] क्षामच्छायं भवनमधुना मद्वियोगेन नूनम् 82,91.
Slight, little, small.
Weak, infirm.
-मः   An epithet of Viṣṇu.-मा The earth; द्यावा ह क्षामा Mbh. on [P.I.2.64.]
-मम्   Destruction. -Comp.
-आस्यम्   unwholesome diet; अपथ्य- महितं रोग्यं क्षामास्यं परिकीर्तितम् (शब्दचन्द्रिका)
-इष्टिन्यायः   The rule according to which a conditional cause laying down a निमित्त must be so construed as to avoid it involving a नित्य or unavoidable circumstance. This is discussed and established by Jaimini and Śabara in [MS.6.4.17-21.]
