यज्वन् [yajvan] a.  a. (-यज्वरी f.) [यज्-क्वनिप्] Sacrificing, worshipping, adoring &c. -m.
One who performs sacrifices in accordance with Vedic precepts, a performer of sacrifices; नीपान्वयः पार्थिव एष यज्वा [R.6.46;] 1.4;3.39;11.12; [Ku.2.46;] hence यज्वनां पतिः = The moon.
