उदन्त [udanta] a.  a. [उद्गतोऽन्तो यस्य] Reaching to the end or border of anything.
-न्तः [उद्गतोऽन्तो निर्णयो   यस्मात्]
   News, intelligence, report, full tidings, account, history; श्रुत्वा रामः प्रियोदन्तनम् [R.12.66;] आत्मोदन्तं कथयिष्यति [K.132;] कान्तोदन्तः सुहृदुपगतः संगमात्किंचिदूनः [Me.12.]
   A pure and virtuous man (साधु).
   Supporting oneself by sacrificing for others (वृत्तियाजनम्).
   One who gets a livelihood by a trade, agriculture (वृत्तियोजने); see also (Wilson).
