   To cease, end, terminate; संगतावुपरराम च लज्जा [Ki.9.44,13.69;] इत्युक्त्वो- परराम; युद्धमुपारमत् ceased &c.
   To cease or desist from, stop ( oft. with pres, part.); व्यापादयन्नोपरराम [Pt. 1;] or with abl.; [Bg.2.35;] [Bk.8.54;9.51;] or with inf.; [Ki.4.17;] or by itself; [Bk.8.55.]
   To be quiet or calm; यत्रोपरमते चित्तम् [Bg.6.2.]
