अभिवद्

अभि-√ वद्   P. (rarely Ā.e.g.[MBh. v, 923] ) to address or salute with reverence, [ŚBr.] &c.;
to declare with reference to, express by, name, call, [ŚBr.] &c.;
to say, speak, [BhP.] ; [Up.] :
Caus.-वादयति, °ते, to address or salute reverently;
to present one's self to (dat.), [ŚāṅkhGṛ.] :
Ā. to salute through another person (acc. or instr.), [Pāṇ. 1-4, 53] Comm.P. to cause to recite, [BhP.] ;
‘to cause to sound’, play (on an instrument), [MBh. iii, 14386.]

अभिवद्     

अभिवद् [abhivad]   1 [U.]
To speak to, address; परस्त्रियं योऽभिव- देत्तीर्थेऽरण्ये वनेऽपि वा [Ms.8.356;] [Y.2.31.]
To speak of or with reference to, tell, declare, mention; यत्कर्म क्रियमाणं ऋगभिवदति [Ait. Br.]
To express, utter, signify; यद्वाचाऽनभ्युदितं येन वागभ्युद्यते । तदेव ब्रह्म त्वं विद्धि नेदं यदिदमुपासते [Ken.1.4.]
To name, call.
To salute, greet; see caus. -caus.
To greet or salute respectfully, oft, with the mention of the person saluted and the person who salutes; तात प्राचेतसान्तेवासी लवोऽभिवादयते [U.6.] भगवन्नभिवादये [V.5;] see अभिवाद also.
To cause to salute (with acc. or instr. of agent of action); अभि- वादयते देवं भक्तं भक्तेन वा.
To utter, pronounce.
To play on an instrument.
