कुमुदबान्धव  m.  ( -वः) The moon.
    E. कुमुद a lotus, and बान्धव the friend; the white esculent lotus expanding its petals during the night, and closing them in the day time; hence other similar appella- tions of the moon, as कुमुदबन्धु, कुमुदप्रिय, &c.
