Shabda-Sagara

यवमध्य  n.  ( -ध्यं) A form of penance, diminishing the food daily during the fortnight, fasting on the new-moon, and gradually aug- menting the food till the full-moon.
 f.  ( -ध्या) A form of metre, a triplet, the divisions of which are of unequal length, the middle line having one syllable more than the first or last.
