मधुक (पैंग्य) n.  एक आचार्य, जो याज्ञवल्क्य ऋषि का शिष्य था [श.ब्रा.११.७.२.८] ; [सां.ब्रा.१६.९] । इसके शिष्य का नाम चूड भागवित्ति था [बृ.उ.६.३.८-९ काण्व.] । पिंग का वंशज होने से इसे ‘पैंग्य’ उपाधि प्राप्त हुयी होगी ।
