अनु- वाक्या  f.  f. the verse to be recited by the होतृ or मैत्रावरुण priest, in which the god is invoked to partake of the offering intended for him, [ŚBr.]

अनुवाक्या [anuvākyā]   [वच्-ण्यत्-कुत्वम्] A verse recited by the Hotṛi priest, in which the god is invoked to accept the offering prepared for him, or a sort of priest; वाक्यलक्षणविदोऽनुवाक्यया [Śi.14.2] (प्रशास्तृपाठ्या तदभावे हातृपाठ्या देवताह्वानी ऋक् Malli.).
