आवीतिन्  m.  ई. m. (a Brāhman) who has the sacred thread on (in the usual manner over the left shoulder and under the right arm, cf. प्राचीना-वीतिन्), [ŚBr.]; KātyŚr.; [ĀśvGṛ.]; [ŚāṅkhGṛ. &c.]

आवीतिन् [āvītin]  m. m. [आवीत-इनि] A Brāhmaṇa who makes the sacrificial cord hang over the right shoulder.
