कौलीन [kaulīna] a.  a. [कौ पृथिव्यां लीनः अलुक्स˚; कुलादागतः खञ् वा; कुलालवः [P.IV.1.139] ] Belonging to a noble family.
नः The son of a female beggar.
A follower of the left hand Śākta ritual.
नम् An evil report, a scandal; मालविकागतं किमपि कौलीनं श्रूयते [M.3;] तदेव कौलीनमिव प्रतिभाति [V.2;] [Me.114;] कौलीनमात्माश्रयमाचचक्षे [R.14.36,84.]
