पृत्

पृत्  f. f. (only in loc.pl.पृत्सु॑, in one place [i, 129, 4] पृत्सु॑षु, [RV.] ; but according to, [Vop.] also in other cases, viz.पृतस्, पृता, पृद्भ्याम्) battle, contest, strife.

पृत् [pṛt]  f. f. An army. (This word has no forms for the first five inflections and is optionally substituted for पृतना after acc. dual).
