वि-√ शॄ    Pass. -शीर्यते ( aor. -शारि, [RV.]), to be broken or shattered or dissolved, crumble or fall to pieces, waste away, decay, [RV.] &c. &c. ;

to be scattered or dispersed, [Hariv.];

to be severed from ( abl.), [R.];

to be damaged or destroyed, perish, [Mn.]; [MBh. &c.]

   To throw, abandon, cast off; क्व नु मां त्वदधीनजीवितां विनिकीर्य क्षणभिन्नसौहृदः [Ku.4.6.]
   To throw about, scatter.
   विशॄ [viś]ॄ, Pass.
   To be split in pieces, be shattered, विशीर्येत वनेऽथवा.
   To crumble to pieces, be dissolved, decay.
   To waste away, become emaciated.
