धमनि  f. f. the act of blowing or piping, [RV. ii, 11, 8]
°नी   (also ) a pipe or tube, (esp.) a canal of the human body, any tubular vessel, as a vein, nerve &c., [AV.] ; [ChUp.] ; [MBh.] ; [Suśr.] &c. (24 vessels starting from the heart or from the navel are supposed to carry the रच or chyle through the body)
the throat, neck, [L.]
N. of ह्राद's wife (the mother of वातापि and इल्वल), [BhP.]

धमनि     

धमनिः [dhamaniḥ] नी [nī]   नी f.
A reed, blow-pipe; वेणुधमन्या प्रबोध्य Vaiśvadeva.
A tube or canal of the human body, tubular vessel, as a vein, a nerve, &c.
Throat, neck.
A speech.
Turmeric. -Comp.
