to draw off (the surface of a fluid), skim, [Lāṭy.] :

Desid. पिफणिषति Gr. :

Intens. pr.p. -पणिफणत् ( [RV.]), पम्फणत् ( [ŚāṅkhŚr.]), bounding, leaping.
