to carry on legal proceedings, litigate, [MW.];

to be intent upon, care for cherish ( acc.), [MBh.];

   To act, behave, deal with (with loc. or by itself); कथं कार्यविनिमयेन व्यवहरति मय्यनात्मज्ञ [M.1;] बहिः सर्वाकारप्रगुण- रमणीयं व्यवहरन् [Māl.1.14.]
