अञ्च   ‘curling’ (of the hairs of the body, thrill of rapture), only at the end of रोमा-ञ्चq.v.

अञ्च   r. 1st. cl. (उ.) (अञ्चति)
1. To adore, to worship, to treat with respect. (ञ, उ.) (अंचति-ते)
2. To go, to approach.
3. To ask or beg.
4. To speak indistinctly.
With प्र, to move in an eastern direction; with प्रति, to go westerly;
with उत्, to go northerly;
with अव, to move southerly;
with परा, to turn aside or away.
r. 1st and 10th cl. (अंचति अंचयति) To discriminate, to individualize, to possess especially. See अच.
