दृप्

दृप्     

दृप् [dṛp]   I. 1 P., 1 U. (दर्पति, दर्पयति-ते) To light, inflame, kindle. -II. 4 P. (दृप्यति, दृप्त)
To be proud, be arrogant or insolent; स किल नात्मना दृप्यति [U. 5;] दृप्यद्दानव- दूयमानदिविषद्दुर्वारदुःखापदाम् [Gīt.9.]
To be greatly delighted.
To be wild or extravagant.
To be mad or foolish. -III. 6 P. (दृपति) To pain, torture.
