MŪLAKA   A son of Kumbhakarṇa.

मूलक II. n.  एक राक्षस, जो कुंभकर्ण का पुत्र था । इसका मूल नक्षत्र में होने के कारण, कुंभकर्ण ने इसे अशुभ मान कर फेंक दिया था । किन्तु मधुमक्खियों ने इसे शहद पिला कर बडा किया । बडा होने पर यह अत्यंत बलवान् हुआ, एवं समस्त पृथ्वी को त्रस्त करने लगा । इसी कारण सीता ने राम के द्वारा इसका वध करवाया [आ.रा.राज्यु.५-६] ।
