अधिष्ठातृ [adhiṣṭhātṛ]   [स्था-तृच्] Superintending, watching over, presiding over, guiding, governing; हनूमांश्चाप्यधिष्ठाता [Rām. 5.63.22;] tutelary guardian; as ˚त्री देवता a guardian or presiding deity. m. (-ता) A superintendent, head, chief, protector, controller, regulator, ruler; सर्वेन्द्रियाधिष्ठाता Bhāṣa P.; especially with reference to the Almighty who is the ruler of the universe.
