शप् 1. (in gram.) a technical term used for the विकरण a (inserted between the root and terminations of the conjugational tenses in verbs of the Ist class; See वि-करण, p.954). शप् n. 2.ind. a prefix implying assent or acceptance (as in शप्-करोति, he admits or accepts), [W.] शप् 3.cl. 1. 4.
