To stick, cling or adhere to.
To unite, join.
To grasp, take, understand; आश्लेषि न श्लेषकवेर्भवत्याः श्लोकद्वयार्थः सुधिया मया किम् [N.3.69.]
(Ā.) To result, be the consequence of anything. -III. 1 U. (श्लेषयति-ते) To unite, join, connect.
