ख्या

ख्या   cl. 2. P.ख्याति (in the non-conjugational tenses also Ā., perf.चख्यौ, चख्ये, [Vop.] ; impf.अख्यत्, अख्यत, [Pāṇ. 3-1, 52] ), [Dhātup. xxiv, 52] ;
the simple verb occurs only in Pass. and Caus.:
Pass.ख्यायते, to be named, be known, [MBh. iii] ;
(aor.अख्यायि) to be named or announced to (gen.), [Bhaṭṭ. xv, 86] :
Caus.ख्यापयति, to make known, promulgate, proclaim, [Mn.] ; [Yājñ.] ; [MBh.] &c.;
to relate, tell, say, declare, betray, denounce, [Mn. viii, 171] ; [MBh. iii] ; [Pañcat.] ; [Kathās.] ;
‘to make well known, praise’ See ख्यापित;
ख्या   [cf.Lat.in-quam, &c.]

ख्या     

ख्या [khyā]   2 P. (m. also in non-conjugational tenses) (ख्याति, ख्यात) To tell, declare, communicate with dat. of person. -Pass. (ख्यायते)
To be named or called; आवयोः पितरं विद्धि ख्यातं दशरथं भुवि [Bk.6.97.]
To be known or famous. -Caus. (ख्यापयति-ते)
To make known, proclaim; ख्यापयेदभयानि च [Ms.7.21.]
To tell, declare, relate; परगुणकथनैः स्वान्गुणान्ख्यापयन्तः [Bh.2.] 69; [Ms.11.99.]
To extol, make renowned, praise.

With अभि prefixed, To shine or be glorious.
With आ, To be famous.
With वि, to celebrate.
With सु, To be approved.
With कु, To be infamous.
With प्रति and आ, To reject, to refuse.
With सम्, To count, to reckon.
With सं and to denominate.
