मण्डः [maṇḍḥ] ण्डम् [ṇḍam]   ण्डम् [मन्-ड तस्य नेत्वं, मण़्ड्- अच् वा]
   The thick oily matter or scum forming on the surface of any liquid.
   The scum of boiled rice; नीवारौदनमण्डमुष्णमधुरम् [U.4.1;] तण्डुलानां सुसिद्धानां चतुर्दशगुणे जले । रसः सिक्थैर्विरहितो मण्ड इत्यभिधीयते [Bhāva. P.]
    cream (of milk).
