Ex. अन्यायानें घेतलेलें द्रव्य जिरत नाहीं. 4 To be swallowed or gulped; to pass or sink unpunished or unnoticed. Ex. त्याला दोन लबाड्या जिरल्या म्हणून लबाडीच करावी असें वाटूं लागलें. 5 To go in; to be contained; to lie amongst. Ex. त्या गल- बतांत अणखी दोन खंडी ओझें घातलें तर जिरेल. कंडू-खय-खुमखुम-मोडशी- &c. -जिरणें To be subdued; to be beaten down or in--the heavings and swellings of revenge, envy, conceit. जिरसपोट or जिरोसपोटा A mother's word of soothing to her infant at the breast, or when taking medicine &c.
