   A witness, an observer, an eye- witness; फलं पःसाक्षिषु दृष्टमेष्वपि [Ku.5.6;] साक्षित्वमस्य पुरुषस्य Saṁkhya [K.19;] [Ms.8.18.]
   The supreme being.
   (In phil.) The ego. -Comp.
