A dictionary, Marathi and English

   of an account, when it is necessary to make up or close the account. By the side of this word in the margin they place a cipher. hence लग f or लगपूज n घालणें - देणें - मांडणें - लिहिणें. Others, who write, not लग but लंग, derive it from P lame, and set it underneath the single item of the account, and, placing a cipher in the margin, understand लंग to indicate the sense void or wanting, and to be equivalent to the latin caret.
   . लगीं असणें g. of o. To be in connection with. लगीचें काम That form of building in which the roof is supported on a लग. Opp. to पिढ्याचें काम or पिढ्यापाटाचें काम.
