Vs. s0. अभितयुणः-Having xntold qualities. रसायन-A1y
thing which has a vitalizing power. aa is thus deined:
लाभोपायो हि झस्तानां रसादीनां रसायनम् 1- चरक; यज्जराव्याधिविध्वंसि भेषजं
नद्रसायनम् !-भैकज्यरत्नावली. The effeets of रसायन 0n the human
constitution are the follo wing: दृीविमायुः स्मृतिं मेधामारोग्यं तरुणं वयः ।

qualities of Garlie from the Ayurvedic point of view: teAI

qualities, is yet despised un account of its one defect, the

Vs. 81.-सद्रुणः-0ne endowed with good qualities, पारदो
रसः-mereury which has the properties of रसायन. मूच्छ्छागतः 8nd
ga:-These are references to various chemical changes to which
mercury is subjected by its admixture with diffsrent herbal
substazees. of. मलशिखिविषाभिधाना रसस्य नैसर्गिकास्त्रयो दोषाः । मसूछ्छा मलेन
कुरुते शिखिना दाहं विषेण मृत्युं च ॥ गृहकन्या (४. 8., कुभारी ) हरति मलं
व्रिफलानिं चित्रकश्च विषम् । तस्मादेमिर्मिश्रेरारान्संमूच्छयेत्सत्त ॥ रसहृदयनन्त्रम् प- ६.
When mercury is thus subjected to chemical modifcations, its
various dangerous properties are eliminated, and it then acts
as & vitalizing drug..
भूवाति । अनरीकरोति मृतः कोऽन्यः करुणाकरः सूतात् ॥ रसरत्नसप्ुच्चय.
